Tel Aviv is one of the most vibrant cities in the Middle East and has two excellent cultural centers which embody its eclectic, creative atmosphere. The World Cultural Center near Rabin Square houses an impressive array of music, theater, dance and visual arts within its walls and often hosts prestigious international acts. Meanwhile, the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center located in Habimah Square offers a variety of theatrical production along with shows including improvisational comedy nights and performances by LGBTQ performers.
The World Cultural Center also frequently holds workshops to enable people to take part in activities such as painting, sculpting or photography. Workshops are usually led by experienced professionals who can help provide guidance and advice to budding artists. There are also various film screenings held onsite which offer an insight into Israeli cinema. Plus periodically members of public can get involved in discussing short stories written for each screening.
Further down the road from The World Cultural Centre you will find a bright red bazaar complete with wooden stalls selling second-hand books. Within these quaint stands you can pick up literary classics or find something off-the-beaten-track from Tel Aviv's small independent publishers; it’s a great spot for current students to hunt down textbooks as well.
At Tel Aviv Performing Arts Centre you will find more than performance theaters – they also have musical archives stretching back decades containing rare recordings such as albums issued by local music bands not widely distributed elsewhere. These posts are open weekdays through prearranged appointments only so if interested make sure that you book ahead.
Whether it’s our way of learning cultural history through books, getting insightful knowledge from workshops or utilizing our imagination watching theatrical plays – there is something for all ages at either of those two places plus admission prices for most performances aren't prohibitively expensive - be sure not miss out!
